Soroptimists Support San Francisco Shelters
Please join Soroptimist in helping women in need in San Francisco. During convention, Soroptimist is partnering with the Hilton San Francisco Union Square to collect donations of gently used clothing and toiletries for two local women’s shelters: SafeHouse and SAGE Project.
Participate by bringing the following items to convention and placing them in the collection bins located outside the General Session room (Grand B Ballroom) and the Exhibit Hall (Yosemite Ballroom). The Hilton will collect the items and distribute them to these women’s shelters.
Items needed:
- Gently used professional clothing (large sizes in particular).
- Feminine Hygiene products
- New toiletry items or toiletries from other hotel stays*
- Small accessories such as purses, wallets, sunglasses, and reading glasses
- Gift cards for Starbucks, Safeway, or AMC movie theaters
And just think, by packing items to donate in your suitcase, you will make room to fit all of the new things you will buy while visiting San Francisco! It’s a win/win situation.
Soroptimist is happy to support the community service efforts of The Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
*It is not necessary to bring Hilton supplies to the collection bins as the hotel collects partially used amenities from guest rooms to benefit several non-profits, including SafeHouse and SAGE.
