Soroptimist programs effect fundamental change and help women and girls around the world to live their dreams. With assistance from Soroptimist, thousands of women in diverse communities move closer to economic independence, freedom from violence, and increased learning opportunities.

Women like Guadalupe. Guadalupe survived years of physical and mental abuse at the hands of a violent husband who once even cut off her hair in a fit of rage. She eventually left him, and was able to rebuild her life and pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology thanks in part to more than $14,000 in Women's Opportunity Awards from Soroptimist. As a domestic violence counselor, she now helps other women escape abusive relationships. "I am very grateful to Soroptimist," said Guadalupe, "because they have helped me begin my new life."

In addition to the Women's Opportunity Awards, many other Soroptimist programs help women and girls throughout the world to live their dreams.

The success of our programs depends on the generosity of people like you. Join us in our mission to help women and girls live their dreams by donating now:

  • $250 provides a month's worth of childcare for a single mom attending college

  • $100 pays for a therapist to coach women living in domestic violence shelters

  • $50 gives a low-income woman a potentially life-saving mammogram

  • $25 purchases books and supplies for girls living in poor rural villages.

Soroptimist is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on private donations, corporate support and foundation grants to help Soroptimist clubs provide service to their communities through projects that address specific needs of women and girls.
